I want to thank you all for your patience during finals! 🙂 Everything is finally done, and I have TWO WHOLE DAYS to relax until next session starts! I’m a little bit nervous to be taking Spanish and Portuguese at the same time, but I managed it with Italian so hopefully I’ll manage. 🙂 I barely squeezed out a B in Spanish, so I need to kick it up a notch if I’m going to stay on the Dean’s List this semester!

Most of the weekend was pretty uneventful. The kids got some quality time together, and even the boys were playing really nicely.

Jonah was trying to smash the trumpet into the gas tank, and Micah thought it was almost as funny as I did. Usually when Jonah plays with his car Micah tries to drive away, and it was great to see him making such an effort to interact with him. He’s almost always sweet to Jonah, but he doesn’t often really play with him — he’ll bring him a toy or a stuffed animal if he’s crying, if he falls he’ll rub his head and ask if he’s ok, or he’ll even sing to him sometimes, but that’s about it. It’s obvious he loves his brother, but he’s finally starting to realize that Jonah might also be kinda fun.

Jonah is also getting super attached to Kinsey now that he’s more aware, and she’s loving it!

She’s always got her hands occupied in the car now, the boys are obsessed with holding her hands while we’re driving. 🙂 These kiddos melt my heart!

On Saturday my in-laws took us to see a Disney stage show, and Micah and Kinsey were sooooo excited! Micah is obsessed with Mickey Mouse, and anything princess-y makes Kinsey happy.

The gang from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse narrated Snow White, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast, and it was a really great show!

We stopped for milkshakes on the way home, and the kids passed out for most of the hour-long drive. This was definitely a win. The kids enjoyed it even more than Disney on Ice, and it was less crowded and more intimate, so we had room to spread out. I’m a fan of anywhere I don’t have to curl myself up into a ball to stay perfectly in my seat while nursing Jonah!

The rest of the weekend was pretty boring — homework, a nasty but short-lived stomach flu, and some cuddle time with the kiddos. Jonah got his next set of shots yesterday, but so far he doesn’t seem to have any negative effects so even that was uneventful. He’s such a low-key, relaxed little boy, I’m really curious if his personality will change with toddler-hood. Micah has never been low-key, so the dynamic between them should be interesting to watch as they grow up.

Of course, now that the new session is starting, I’m trying to get a head start on everything so I can stay on track when it hits finals time. The last two weeks have been pretty terrible in terms of workouts, but if I work hard and get ahead now I won’t have any excuses when finals hit because I’ll be ahead of the game, and I’ll have a better routine in place. I haven’t been the best role model when it come to fitness, but I know I can push through this and come out even stronger on the other side. Getting back in shape is difficult, but it’s so worth it!
