The realization hit me this morning that Micah will be 2 years old in 3 weeks….how in the world did that happen?? It’s made me a little sad to think how fast my boys are growing up, and I’ve been really nostalgic today. I started going through some pictures and I just can’t believe how much has changed in the last two years!

He started out as a tiny little “speck”

…and quickly grew into a tiny little boy.

He found himself surrounded by an amazing Daddy…

…a fantastic big sister…

and a seriously exhausted Mommy.

He cracked us up with his adorable faces…

and his little quirks.

He experienced many firsts, like his first chocolate covered strawberry (which Mommy ate for him)…

and Aunt Mary and Uncle Ray…

There is so much I want to remember, and so much I want him to know as he grows up. I want him to know how much he is loved, and how perfectly Heavenly Father made him. I want him to understand how lucky I feel to have been chosen to be his mother, and how I would do anything to make him happy and healthy. I want to remember every smile, every tear, every milestone, and every stuffy nose.

There are already so many sweet memories…

and silly memories…

and even life-changing memories.

And I can’t wait to see what memories come next!

Becoming a mother has been the hardest and most rewarding path I’ve ever traveled down, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. My family is the most important thing in my life, and I’m just grateful that my life took the right twists and turns for me to wind up here with them.
