This week was a bit rough on the whole family. I woke up Wednesday morning with whatever Micah has, because I wound up throwing up all morning instead of working. Taking care of the two boys while wishing I could tear my stomach out of my body would have been enough of a challenge, but on top of that poor Micah was still having stomach issues. Not to get into too much detail, but he had 4 poopy diapers that required baths because there just aren’t enough wipes on the planet for that. 007

At least the poor kid was still happy! We pretty much spent the entire day on the couch together, and by the time the hubby got home from work I was at least feeling good enough to sit up.

Thursday I called in sick again, but by mid-afternoon I was starting to feel mostly normal again. The hubby decided to spoil us a bit since we were all finally feeling better, so he took us to the Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch. I wanted to go easy on my stomach, so I got the Luau Salad, which I get pretty much every time I eat there.

It was pretty good, but either they changed something about it or I’ve gotten a little bored with it, because it just didn’t blow my socks off this time. Oddly enough, Micah refused to eat at all, which should have raised more red flags for me but it was past nap-time and I thought he was just tired. He proved me wrong in spectacular fashion when he vomited all over himself on the way home — I guess the tail end of the virus came back at him with a vengeance. 😦 Poor kiddo!

A hot bath and a long nap later he was good as new, but just to be cautious we rented a movie and spent another relaxing night on the couch together. Jonah was the most active of us all — he seems to be getting used to tummy time finally…

but he definitely prefers to play on his back!

He’s a big fan of his play mat, but only for about 10 minutes at a time. He’s growing up so fast!

I’m so ready for the weekend! What excitement do you have planned?
