I’ve been pretty tired, so today’s eats were pretty simple. I was up late again with the baby, so I didn’t crawl out of bed until Micah woke me up around 10. Once I got him changed and fed the baby again I didn’t have much time to make breakfast, so we each had a slice of the cornbread I made yesterday. Micah has been super picky about what he’s willing to eat lately so if I don’t want to cook two meals I’m kind of limited with what I can eat. As a result, lunch was equally simple — just some pasta.
Pasta is one of the few things that Micah will always eat, and I’m Italian so it’s a frequent standby for me. Dinner wound up looking a little bit strange, but I managed to get Micah to actually eat some protein so I’ll take it. I hid ground chicken in rice with a sauce made mostly from cream of chicken soup. The result was a completely white entrée, but since Micah thought it was all rice he ate a ton of it. I also made a kind of hash with yams, potatoes, and onions, and he loved that too. Veggies and protein in one meal — toddler success!
As promised, today was my first day of T25. I decided on Lower Focus because there’s a little less cardio in that one and I figured it would help me ease back into working out. Since I’m not officially cleared to workout, I slowed down the pace a little and I modified any moves that required jumping. I honestly didn’t expect it to be that difficult with the modifications, but it took all of 2 minutes for my entire body to start screaming at me. I still managed to finish, and even though I’m super tired I feel really good. It’s easy to forget how good it feels to workout…
I don’t know what it is about Shaun T, but he kicks my butt every time.
